IcePath is the owner of this Web site and, unless otherwise indicated, of all contents contained herein.
By accessing and using this site, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms and conditions apply to all trips sold or operated by IcePath. IcePath may at any time and at its own sole discretion change the terms and conditions.
Use of IcePath website
No content on this site may be modified, transmitted, reproduced, published, licensed, transferred or sold without prior written consent from IcePath
Prices
All prices are in Icelandic Krona (ISK). Guests will be invoiced in the currency of their resident country based on the exchange rate at the time the invoice is written.
IcePath reserves the right to add an exchange surcharge to the package price before the final payment has been made in case of any currency fluctuations. After the final payment has been made no surcharges will be applicable.
Payment policy

Deposit – tours are not confirmed until 20% confirmation fee has been paid and a confirmation email has been received

Payment in full must be received 70 days (10 weeks) before trip takes place.

If booked later then 70 days (10 weeks) prior to arrival, then full price needs to be paid to validate a booking.

Payment can be made via international bank transfer or with Credit Cards (VISA or Master Card)
Cancelations and refund policy
IcePath is bound to confirm guides, transportation, book accommodation and organize logistics for all trips well before the actual departure, due to this and administrative work, refund is limited to a time scale.
All cancellations and reimbursements should be done in writing via e-mail from the person who booked the trip.
Multi day tours

Cancelation more than 70 days notice is required for a 20% loss of trip price.

Cancelation less than 70 days notice prior departure will be charged 50% loss of trip price.

Cancelation within 14 days prior to departure will resolve in the loss of 100% of trip price.
Private and specialised tours

Pick up and drop off service
IcePath provides pick up and drop off service in Reykjavík and other hotels in the south of Iceland for its tours. As a traveler you are responsible for your pick up and providing IcePath your preferred and correct pick up location when booking your trip, as well being ready for your correct time of pick up. Please contact us regarding your pick up at info@icepath.is.
Missing your pick up does not entitle you to refund of the price paid. It is your responsibility to be ready when your guide arrives to pick you up.
Weather and conditions:
Weather changes quickly in Iceland. We reserve the right to change and/or cancel the trip or part of the trip at any time with your safety in mind. Our guides are experienced and specially trained to deal with constant changing conditions and have your safety and theirs when making their decisions. This being said IcePath closely watches roads and mountain conditions for your safety at all time.
Travel Insurance
We recommend all our guests to have insurance. Each guest should purchase trip or holiday cancellation insurance in addition to medical, personal and travel insurance.
Assumed risk and outdoor activities
Guests are advised that all activities are undertaken entirely at their own risk and they must behave in a fit and proper manner at all times in accordance with our guidelines.
Liability
No responsibility is accepted for losses, expenses due to delays, changes of flights, or other services or because of strikes, accidents, sickness, damage, negligence, weather, war, changes in schedules, or other similar causes. IcePath and IcePath guides do not assume responsibility for accidents or death that can be traced to the participants negligence, acts of third parties or exterior circumstances such as weather, natural occurrences, war or other similar causes.
Clothing
All personal clothing should be appropriate outdoors clothing and suitable for your outdoors activities. We reserve the rights to refuse participation to clients who are dressed inappropriately and might increase the level of risk and well-being for them self and the other clients in the tour. Please contact us for your equipment list for your trip.
Physical conditions
Hiking and mountain adventures require clients to be physical fit enough to safely be able to do all activities listed in their trip. Information on the skills requirement is listed in all trip descriptions.
Alcohol and Drugs
We receive the right to refuse participation to guests in any activities who we believe are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In such circumstances no refund shall be given.
Unused service
No refunds are given in whole or in part for unused days within your trip package due to, late arrival or early departure.
Jurisdictions
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Iceland. Any disputes regarding these terms and conditions, payments or incidences prior, during or after the tour, shall be resolved exclusively in Icelandic courts.
